About the Role
Are you a student looking for hands-on experience in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within a global organization? If so, this role might be perfect for you! As a working student, you will support Springer Nature’s DEI Team in developing and implementing global initiatives in areas such as training, mentoring, communication, employee network support, and DEI metrics. You will take ownership of subprojects and gain valuable experience in an international, dynamic environment.
Join our enthusiastic and supportive DEI Team of four, where you’ll have the opportunity to work independently on meaningful projects. We offer a collaborative workplace, access to different learning offers and a variety of community events, as well as a book discount of 15–40%.
Role Responsibilities
Support with participant management for events and training as well as the development of training materials.
Support with reporting of our inclusion survey and tracking recurring DEI metrics.
Preparation of research, content and communications materials for DEI initiatives, such as emails and blog posts.
Scheduling and organizing events and campaigns.
Community management, e.g. supporting our employee networks.
General project management.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Enrolled in a degree in economics, politics, communication, sociology, social science or related disciplines, or in gender and diversity studies.
A good understanding of the field of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Some experience with project management.
A hands-on, committed and solution-oriented work approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English or German: English is the main language in this area, but ideally, we are looking for a candidate who can also provide support in German.
Sound working knowledge of the commonly used MS 365 programs/Google suite.
